Sunday School Recap 05/12/24

On Mother's Day we heard the story of one of the best mothers in the Bible - Naomi. Even though she was not to true mother of her daughters-in-law Ruth and Orpah, she treated them as if they were her own. And Ruth could have gone back to her family like Orpah did, but she told Naomi, "Where you go, I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God will be my God."

For our craft today we made gifts for our Moms - Handprint Lilies and a card. For the lilies we traced our handprints and then rolled them into cones and curled down the fingers to make the flower, and added a pipe cleaner stem and some ribbon. The kids were so excited to make them and couldn't wait to give them to their Moms. Happy Mother's Day!
