The Holy Spirit has guided St James and a Pastor, who we are very excited to meet this weekend, as we enter the holy process of calling a new shepherd to serve as Lead Pastor. The new shepherd will discern and equip us as Christ’s love and mercy. The wedding banquet is the image provided in the Gospel to lift the vison of our mutual work. In biblical times, a wedding was not about personal choice and lavish expense, but about the communal celebration of the promise of new life and commitment. Let us celebrate, as that beautiful image of the wedding banquet as an expression of the kingdom of heaven fills our pilgrimage of faith!
