For the next two weeks, while Pastor Walt is away, I would like to take the opportunity to update you on what steps are being taken to begin the Pastoral transition of our congregation. Deacon Krista Lind, from the St. Paul Area Synod, has already been assigned and is assisting us in finding the interim Pastor. In addition, she will also be guiding us through the Call process for a new Pastor. We are extremely grateful to have the full support of the St. Paul Area Synod and their leadership during this time of transition. We are also reassured by God’s promise that the Holy Spirit is at work among us and will be guiding us every step of the way.

It is a bittersweet moment for the St. James community. Although we are sad to see Pastor Walt go, we are immensely grateful for his ministry, dedication, and leadership over the past fourteen years. Let us take this opportunity to rejoice and celebrate with him and wish him Godspeed in his new calling.
