Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ!
As a community of faith, we rely on generosity to carry out our ministry. Together we give gifts of time, talent, and treasure sowing seeds in God’s garden. These as seeds of love and they grow in ways that are amazing and abundant. God blesses our efforts of sowing and through our offerings makes Christ known in our lives, the life of our family, and the larger community.
In response to the financial uncertainty of the first year of the pandemic, St. James did not hold a stewardship drive in 2020. We were thankful for the giving that continued, which along with federal assistance (in the form of the Payroll Protection Program (PPP)), supported our ministry throughout 2021. Over the course of the last two years, we have seen an increase in the cost of ministry. With the PPP funds near depleted, we need to conduct a Stewardship Drive for 2022.
Over the next three weeks, you will hear about our efforts to Sow Seeds for the Future. St. James Stewardship Team is seeking increased pledges for 2022 to met the increased cost of our ministry together and to grow our service in the community and ministry with young families.
A few videos have been prepared for your consideration. Click on the video screen to get a sneak peek of the first once that will premier during worship on Sunday.
Please prayerfully consider making your financial commitment to supporting the ministry that we will do together in this new year. You can either turn in the pledge card that is being mailed to your home or make a secure pledge online (click here). Increases of any amount will help us address the challenge that we face.
When we work together to generously sow seeds, the future of St. James looks bright.
I look forward to greeting you in worship this Sunday in-person/parking lot (8:00 a.m.) or in-person/online (9:30 a.m.)
In Christ’s Light,
Pastor Walt
