Christ is Risen - Indeed! Indeed!

Grace and peace to you in the name of the Risen Jesus!

There are moments in the life of churches that are magical. For me, and I’m guessing for others, Easter Sunday 2022 was one to remember.

What joy to have so many folks once again gathering in our sanctuary for worship! Hearing the choirs sing, trumpets and organ blast, and communing around the Altar Table - made the day extra special.

In all, we had around six hundred people participate. In-person (in sanctuary and parking lot) there were 369. Online we had over 226.

In case you missed it… you can worship (or worship again) by using following the link on our YouTube channel.

My thanks go to all who shared their gifts to make our Festival worship so festive… Thanks go to our Worship Team, AV Team, musicians, church decorating team, Altar Guild, Communion Servers, and Office Staff for all that they did behind the scenes and out in front.

If you haven’t been a part of this worship yet, or you would like to participate in it again, it can be found in the St. James Lutheran channel on YouTube. Or click on this video link:

By the grace of God and as long as the Community Covid Level remains LOW, we will continue to offer communion around the Altar Table going forward. For those who want to commune in the pew, you may choose this option. Also, our livestream will continue, offering an online option.

I have prepared a daily devotion for the season of Easter, called, “Seven Words of Life: An Easter Devotional.” You can sign up to receive a daily email by clicking the button below:

As always, I look forward to worship with you on Sunday. We continue Easter joy this week with AGAPE worship at 9:30 a.m. which will feature a baptism; (you can choose to be in the sanctuary or online). At 8:00 a.m., we will have a spoken worship (you can choose to worship in the sanctuary or from your car using your radio). I’ll be sure to wave!

In Christ’s Light,

Pastor Walt
