Grace and peace to you!
On Sunday, St. James Lutheran launched a campaign to gather financial resources that will strengthen our ministry and allow our community to grow. This effort was approved unanimously at our annual congregational meeting in January and has the full support of the church Council.
It responds to needs in our worship space, local community, and in the village of Idunda, Tanzania (where St. James has had a long-time connection).
I am grateful for the leaders who are guiding this campaign - Konrad Gastony, Judy Jensen, and Matt Schaefer. Already they have done a great job in gathering together the details on what the campaign. For the specifics, click here.
You will receive a letter shortly that invites your response to this three year effort. I encourage you to read it, pray about it, and participate. I am confident that our gifts will come together and allow us to meet this challenge.
I am excited about what God is doing in our midst as we regather as a congregation.
As always, I look forward to waving to you in worship this Sunday - whether in the parking lot, sanctuary at 8:00 AM, or in the sanctuary and online at 9:30 AM.
In Christ’s Light,
Pastor Walt
