Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ!
On Sunday, June 5, Pentecost, we will celebrate in style. Everyone is invited to wear red to worship. After the 9:30 a.m. worship, we will gather outside around the fire pit for music and treats thanks to our Welcome Team.
On the fiftieth day of Easter, the church celebrates the festival of Pentecost. We will hear again the story of how the Holy Spirit came as a rushing wind with tongues of fire and rested upon the first apostles. The church, empowered by the presence of the Spirit proclaimed the love of God in Christ from the streets of Jerusalem outward.
We are part of this legacy. Empowered by the Spirit, we are called to share God’s love - that unending and unconditional grace of Christ - beyond the walls of the church building out into the community. Through our living, God’s life is made known. Working together with God’s Spirit, we are never alone and we have all that we will ever need.
So mark your calendars - and plan to join us on June 5 at 9:30 a.m. Wear red and stay after worship for a treat around the fire. It will be a fun event for all ages.
Of course, for those who wish to worship earlier in the day - we will do that at 8:00 a.m. (sanctuary/parking lot). Online worship will also be offered at 9:30 a.m. for those who wish to join in that way (if you wear red - send us a picture!).
As always, I look forward to worshiping with you and waving a greeting!
In Christ’s Light,
Pastor Walt
